Owner Operators

Sunstate works diligently to "create" a partnership with our Owner Operators that will be beneficial to all parties.

We give our Owner Operators as many choices of loads as possible. We try to load them into the areas of the country they prefer. But like all successful partnerships, cooperation is the key. We will do all we can to make it work and trust you will do the same.

We offer:

• 70% of gross revenue for leasing Tractor only.
• 80% of gross revenue for leasing Tractor and Trailer.
• 100% of any unloading.
• We will pay for your permits if you stay leased for 1 year.
• We furnish Cargo and Liability Insurance.
• We provide you with a fuel card that will allow you to take advantage of our discounted fuel prices.
• Prompt settlements -- if your completed paper work is in our office by 8:00 a.m. today, your check will be ready tomorrow.
• We calculate fuel taxes based on entire trip and reconcile each month. If a refund is due, it is paid quickly.
• Safety Bonuses.

Requirements for Leasing:

• Truck and Trailer must pass inspection.
• You or your driver must be approved and qualified by Sunstate Safety Department.
• You or your driver must have a current Class A CDL.
• A $500.00 bond is required -- $300.00 at time of leasing and balance will be deducted from your settlements.
• You must have an apportioned tag.
• You must have Bobtail Insurance.
• You must cover your drivers with Workman's Compensation Insurance.
• We will inspect your truck every 30 days.
• You must complete our Leased Operators Maintenance Schedule.
